Combining broad-spectrum mineral sun protection with the nourishing power of premium botanical oils, our Sun Defence SPF35+ is specially formulated for dry, weather-exposed skin. Powered by non-nano zinc oxide together with raspberry, baobab, and cucumber seed oils, it helps defend against UVA/UVB rays while protecting the skin from wind, salt water, snow, and environmental stress.
Unlike many mineral sunscreens, its nourishing botanical oil base leaves the skin feeling comfortable and protected throughout the day. Its gentle citrus aroma comes naturally from sweet orange essential oil and the botanical oils within the formula. No synthetic fragrance has been added.
Sun Defence SPF35+ helps reduce the risk of sunburn and premature skin ageing when applied generously and reapplied regularly. However, no sunscreen provides 100% protection from UV radiation. Tanning may still occur during sun exposure, particularly in strong sunlight or reflective environments such as water, snow, or sand.
While the natural oils provide a degree of water resistance, Sun Defence does not offer the same long-lasting water resistance as our SPF50. We recommend it for water activities with shorter or less continuous water exposure, such as kitesurfing and windsurfing.
For swimming, surfing, bodyboarding, and longer periods in the water, we recommend our SPF50, which was specifically designed with surf and extended water exposure in mind.
IMPORTANT: As a natural formula, some oil separation may occur. With the first pump, you may notice mostly oil coming out. Massage it into your hands or arms, then pump again until the cream emulsion appears (usually within 2–3 pumps).
For effective sun protection, apply the cream emulsion evenly to the skin — this ensures proper distribution of the zinc mineral filter.

Apply 1–2 pumps into your palm and gently rub your hands together, as natural oil separation may occur. Apply evenly to the face and neck at least 15 minutes before sun exposure.
Reapply every 2 hours, and after swimming, sweating or towel drying.
For best results, apply to clean, dry skin without a rich cream or facial oil underneath. Sun Defence SPF35+ is naturally rich in nourishing botanical oils and waxes, designed to moisturize while it protects. Layering it over other rich skincare products may feel heavier and is generally unnecessary. Skin that is already well moisturized or naturally oily may prefer a lighter sunscreen texture.
Although we use Invisible Zinc, a soft white veil should remain visible on the skin after application. This is the protective mineral film formed by the zinc particles and is a good indication that the product has been distributed evenly. Don’t try to rub it in until it completely disappears.

Even when a non-nano mineral SPF35+ sunscreen is applied correctly and generously, it is completely normal to:
• Develop a tan during sun exposure.
• Tan more quickly in strong sunlight (UV Index 7–10).
• Experience increased UV exposure from reflective surfaces such as snow (up to 80%), water (up to 25%) and sand.
• Receive UVA rays, which contribute to both skin ageing and tanning.
• Produce melanin as the skin’s natural protective response.
A properly applied mineral sunscreen significantly reduces UV exposure, but it does not create a “zero UV” barrier.

• Causes redness, inflammation and peeling.
